Fortnite Season 9 Battle Pass

5 Steps to Get Your Fortnite Battle Pass to Tier 100 Every Season

In Guides by Kr4m2 Comments

What is the Battle Pass?

The Fortnite Battle Pass is a way to earn over 100 exclusive rewards like skins, pickaxes, emotes, and more.

There are 100 Tiers and there are rewards for each tier you advance.

You start at Tier 1 and it takes 10 Battle Pass stars per tier. Therefore, you need a total of 990 Battle Pass Stars to unlock everything.

Reaching Tier 100 typically takes between 75-150 hours of gameplay. This is because you don’t have access to all the challenges from the start.

Of course, you can buy up to 100 tiers, each for 150 V-Bucks. But, since you earn free V-Bucks from the Battle Pass, I don’t recommend buying tiers.

When you read every word of this guide and follow every step exactly as I have written, you will learn how to unlock everything. Without spending any money.

Sound good?

Ok. Let’s get started.

Step 1: Collect all your daily challenges

Each daily challenge is worth 5 Battle Pass Stars and 500 XP.

Since a season lasts at least 10 weeks (70 days). You can earn up to 35 Tiers just from daily challenges.

Even if you complete every weekly challenge and gain enough experience to reach season level 100 (most people will not). You still need to do most of your daily challenges to complete the Battle Pass.

Most players don’t know this, but you only need to login to Fortnite to collect your daily challenge. This is easy if you have a smartphone with Fortnite installed.

How many hours do you spend on your phone per day? Surely, you have a few minutes to open Fortnite.

You can replace any daily challenge you don’t like or find difficult. But only 1 a day.

In general, the daily challenges are easy. And here are some of my favorite ones:

  • Outlive opponents in squad mode
  • Outlive opponents in solo mode
  • Place top 50 or 25 in solo mode
  • Place top 12 or 6 in squad mode
  • Play 7 matches

The reason for choosing these challenges is because I have my own method for completing them. Do you want to know what it is?

All you need to do is land in a tree that’s in the center of the first circle. Then you can go away and in 10 or 15 minutes your challenge will be complete. This works 95% of the time.

There are other easy daily challenges. Like search chests, play a match with a friend, and search ammo boxes. But, you need to be actively playing to complete them.

Step 2: Complete your weekly challenges as soon as possible

Imagine it’s 14 hours until the season ends.

Your Battle Pass is tier 75.

You still have lots of challenges to complete.

Do you know what this feels like? I do. Because it’s exactly the situation I found myself in Season 8.

This happened because I was lazy and neglected to do my weekly challenges when I had the opportunity.

Of course, you can complete your weekly challenges at any point during the season. Whenever you want and at your convenience.

However, I recommend you complete your weekly challenges as soon as possible. And not just because leaving all your challenges to the final few days is stressful—even though it is.

But, because when you complete your weekly challenges early, you unlock the bonus XP rewards in your Battle Pass sooner.

Why is this helpful?

Well when you unlock the XP rewards early, you naturally have more time to benefit from the bonus. So, it’s more valuable because you have more time to use it.

And you gain more experience, levels, and Battle Pass stars as a result.

Step 3: Play with friends that own the Battle Pass

Fortnite is more fun when you play with friends.

No one denies that.

But did you know that playing with your friends makes ranking up your Battle Pass a lot quicker?

Of course, only if your friends also own the Battle Pass.

You see, the Battle Pass not only grants bonus XP to you. But to your friends when you play together as well.

And it’s not limited to only one friend. No. The more friends you play with, the more bonus experience you will gain.

So play as a squad of 4 when you can. Because you will gain XP faster than when you play by yourself in solo mode.

Step 4: Use the Party Assist Feature

What is Party Assist?

Party Assist enables your friends to help you complete challenges in Fortnite.

When anyone in your squad completes a challenge (or makes progress to completing one) you are rewarded.

To activate, go into your challenges tab and select “Party Assist”.

Note: You can only have Party Assist active on one challenge at a time.

Fortnite Party Assist

The Party Assist feature was added to Fortnite in Season 8. As you know, it’s useful for completing challenges. And, in particular, difficult challenges.

For example, let’s say you are not good with sniper rifles. And your challenge is “get an elimination with a sniper rifle.”

You would be smart to activate Party Assist in this case and have one of your friends help you complete it.

Of course, if you are excellent at using sniper rifles (like me). Then you would be wise to use your Party Assist to complete something else instead.

When you use this step in combination with step 4 (play with friends that own the Battle Pass) you will gain Battle Pass stars at an exponential rate.

Step 5: Play Team Rumble Mode

Remember in step 2 when I said I had 14 hours to complete my challenges?

Or I would not get my Battle Pass to Tier 100?

You do? Great.

Well, playing Team Rumble was how I was able to complete all those challenges. In only a day.

What is Team Rumble?

Team Rumble is a limited time game mode (LTM) where two teams of 20 fight against each other. The first team to reach 150 eliminations wins.

In Team Rumble you respawn when you are killed. So, you don’t have to worry about dying and wasting time between games.

Like you would in any of the normal Fortnite modes.

Also, you have 50 glider redeploys. Meaning you can easily travel around the map.

When you play Team Rumble and follow the other steps, you will complete your challenges in less time.

Bonus Tip #1: Don’t forget Overtime challenges

Fortnite has begun adding Overtime challenges toward the end of a season.

This started in Season 7 and happened again in Season 8.

Therefore, it’s reasonable to expect them to be added toward the end of Season 9 as well.

The Overtime challenges are generally easy to complete. More importantly, they enable you to unlock cool new variations of the seasons Battle Pass skins and extra XP.

So, this extra XP could be the push you need to get your Battle Pass to Tier 100.

Also, you may even get a free Battle Pass as we did in Season 7. So stay up to date with the latest guides.

Bonus Tip #2: Buy the Battle Pass at the start of the season

You can buy the Battle Pass at any point during the Season.

Don’t worry, because you will receive all the rewards up to your current level.

And you still get access to all the challenges.

However, you should buy the Battle Pass at the start of the reason.

The reason is the same as step 2 (complete your weekly challenges as soon as possible). That is, you get bonus XP as soon as you buy the Battle Pass and you have more time to make use of it.

Conclusion

When you consider that a skin in Fortnite costs up to 2,000 V-Bucks

Then the Battle Pass for 950 V-Bucks seems like a good deal.

And that’s because it is.

Not only do you earn items worth more than 10,000 V-Bucks. But you can also gain enough free V-Bucks to pay for next seasons Battle Pass as well.

Of course, only if you are able to progress far enough. Otherwise, you are throwing your money away.

When you apply these steps, you can reach tier 100.
